CarmenJacksonArt began in 2021 when the artist Carmen Jackson began to paint after suffering deep trauma. Carmen is a proud Yuin Walbinja and Biripai Woman who has used the Creative Arts to express herself over the past few years.

Covid gave Carmen the biggest opportunity to express herself through her artworks on the TV Artshow Colour In Your Life hosted by the famous Graeme Stevenson and Sophia Stacey.

We have expressive oil artist Carmen Jackson Art on your screens today, creating her bold, juicy and vibrantly built up artworks!

Carmen enjoys working with structure and experimenting particularly with the myriad textures of liquid and water as she draws inspiration directly from the ocean.

Muddy Banks was created in 2021 and I developed a screenplay movie and a children’s book from this oil artwork! I created a full animation with Plotagon but would love to write an official screenplay and create a movie from the scholarship to empower communities. 

I would publish an Indigenous Movie and book called Muddy Banks. I have the book ready to go and have created a simple animation that goes for 1 hour 30 minutes but it doesn’t have a manuscript and it’s not official. 

I have studied last year at The University of Wollongong a Graduate Cert in Indigenous Healing and Trauma graduating in April 2024.

So I combined everything into an ‘art fusion’ of healing and have finally released today CarmenJacksonArt Aboriginal Healing Cards.
